Frequently Asked Questions
What is Kinkfactor?
Kinkfactor is a modern identity lab designed for queer individuals to explore their sexuality, consent, and personal boundaries in a safe, structured, and affirming way. We combine diagnostic tools with educational content to promote self-discovery and healthier interactions.
Is my data private and secure?
Absolutely. Privacy is our top priority. Your test results and personal data are encrypted and never sold to third parties. Features like the Consent Checklist are stored in your browser's session by default, giving you full control over when and how you save or share them.
How does the Kinkfactor Test work?
Our test uses a series of situational questions to identify your dominant kink archetypes. It's not a rigid diagnosis but a tool to help you understand your preferences and how you relate to different power dynamics and forms of play.
Can I retake tests like the Spectrum or Playbook?
Yes! We encourage it. Your desires and boundaries can change over time. You can create and save multiple versions of your Consent Playbook or update your Involvement Spectrum whenever you like to reflect your current feelings.
How do I share my results anonymously?
Every result you generate (like a Playbook or Spectrum chart) comes with a unique, anonymous Share Code and Link. Anyone with this code or link can view the result, but it will not be connected to your public profile unless you explicitly choose to link it.
What is the Consent Playbook?
The Consent Playbook is an interactive, customizable checklist that goes beyond a simple yes/no. It allows you to define your preferences for various activities, helping you communicate your boundaries clearly and enthusiastically before you play.
How do I report a bug or another user?
Please use the form in the "Contact" tab of this Help Center. Select "Report Bug" for technical issues or "Harassment" to report another user. Provide as much detail as possible so our moderation team can assist you promptly.
Is Kinkfactor free to use?
Our core tools for self-discovery and consent are, and always will be, free. We may introduce premium features in the future to support the platform's development, but the essential services will remain accessible to everyone.
Who is this platform for?
Kinkfactor is built by and for the queer community, with a primary focus on gay, bi, and trans men. However, our tools are designed to be useful for anyone of any gender or orientation who wishes to explore their identity and practice better consent.
How do I delete my account?
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from your Profile Settings page. Please be aware that this action is irreversible.
